Yesterday I realized that I kind of just... assume... that everyone in the (livejournal) universe watched and loved Firefly. THIS HAS TO BE FALSE, even among my friends list, thus, a poll:

YOU GUYS, I... ugh. I don't think I've said this here in forever, but... I hate Angela/Hodgins. LIKE A LOT. I always have. But at this point I would just so much rather they just get married, whatever, because I do notttttt want all this celebacy/intimacy issues/random hook-ups/exploration of feelings. I barely understand why they broke up in the first place? I mean now it's about Angela being too sexually fluid, but... and correct me if I'm wrong... didn't they actually break up because of trust issues? THAT WERE PULLED OUT OF NOWHERE? The shenanigans they keep pulling to keep them apart are just laaaaaaaaaaame. WHY, BONES???? Your function is to make all the lame TV cliches AWESOME.

No pitchforks or torches-- Firefly was really fun but it has never ever been viscerally important to me the way... some things are. Which makes me assuming that everyone loved it even weirder.

my feelings:

1. you can't watch firefly and not say you love it. WOULD I BE OKAY NEVER SEEING ANOTHER FIREFLY EPISODE AGAIN? yes. Would I have experienced less overall joy in my life if I hadn't seen it? yes. you can't just have "liked firefly." That is not how the internt works.

2. As usual, your feelings on Bones are my feelings on Bones.

I actually just watched Firefly for the first time like three weeks ago AND LOVED THE HELL OUT OF IT. I really didn't think I was going to like it at all, but I had a really bad reaction to finishing it when I got to the end. I was really pissed that I didn't get to have any more lol. Very unexpected.

FIREFLY ♥ ♥ ♥ OH MY GOD, so in the production of Dr Horrible that we are doing at my school, a graphics kid designed our projections, and in the laundromat one of the machines has a little button that says "wash"... AND THE OTHER ONE SAYS "ZOE" AND I DIE I DIE I DIE.

Iiii have not seen Bones yet. But. Angela/Hodgins is so adorable! I mean, season two was better than they've been lately, but stiiiiill. THE BREAK-UP WAS STUPID, THOUGH. They SHOULD just get married. I can't wait to see Cam's daughter, omg!

Watched Firefly. Loved Firefly.

I mostly just ignore Angela and Hodgins when there's any "romance" stuff with them. I never minded them together, but the breakup made no sense and now I'm just totally over them.

The scene at the very end with Cam and the girl (old lady alert: I just finished the ep 10 minutes ago and I can't remember her name) made me cry! I mean, I'm totally hormonal right now from pms, but maaaaaan that was such an emotionally charged scene. I hope it works out for them.

They mostly just exhaust me. Angela/Hodgins is kind of like the Buy More scenes in Chuck... the one lame thing in a generally awesome environment. Except ugh, that metaphor doesn't quite work because I like Angela and Hodgins and I reaaaaaaally do not like the Buy More people.

I was totally tearing up too. And I may or may not be downloading it now just so I can watch it again. I hope we get to see more of her/them (I don't remember her name either? Michelle?)! I'm crossing my fingers for Parkerish frequency.

I was going to try and watch Firefly during some of my quiet night shifts a couple of months ago but it just didn't happen. I think I found the fact that that the pilot episode was two hours too overwhelming and didn't get more than ten minutes in? I'd like to try it again though.

And yes, the Angela/Hodgins is laaaaaaaaaaaaame. I just feel like they're teasing us with Booth/Bren, to dangle that relationship too is a waste of time because I'll never be more invested in that one, I'm just like, let them be the happy together couple that gets to be together without all the stupid drama!

I KNOWWWWWWW. I feel like lately TV in general is terrified of portraying a "boring" functional relationship, which... I guess is almost understandable because there are times when that has burned them in the past, but. There is such a thing as taking it too far the other way and it's called Gossip Girl. It really doesn't make sense, at this point, for Angela and Hodgins to not be together.

STORY TIME, ALEXANDRA!!!!!

So I was envisioning a futurefic for Bones at one point and I was like "You know what Cam would be awesome at? Being the mom of a teenager, since that's kind of what she does for work" and I had this WHOLE SCENARIO worked out where Cam took in a foster kid and it's like THE SHOW WAS LISTENING TO MY BRAIN. I forgot I had even thought such thoughts until the show WENT THERE and I was all "waaaaaaaaaait a minute."

Also, I loved Hodgins/Angela as a sort of Marshall/Lily backdrop of adorable and then they FUCKED IT UP!?! I still don't get why, or wtf happened, or ANYTHING, and I found the whole Angela is horny scenario weird. Why isn't she allowed to masturbate? SHOULDN'T THAT HELP!?!!? I AM CONFUSED BY THESE THINGS. Though it did allow for two HYSTERICAL scenes, namely, the "we hate men" pow-wow (AHAHHAHAHA POOR HODGINS) and then when Clark came in with his girlfriend. OH MAN CLARK AND HIS HOT GIRLFRIEND. I kind of thought the girlfriend would be like "HEY ANGELA WANT A THREESOME?!" and Clark's head would pop off. WHICH, LET'S NOT LIE, WOULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE EXCELLENT.

OKAY, I'm assuming you're behind on Bones and want me to update you? BECAUSE IF THAT'S NOT SO (and you don't want to be spoiled), stop reading. But basically the murder of the week was her ex-fiance of ten years ago, who was a widower with a daughter who she had just loved, but he couldn't keep his dick in his pants so she left him and her both. Which turned out to be why he was murdered, actually. ANYWAY. His 16-year-old daughter had ~no one~ and she and Cam started out on rocky footing (because Cam had left her) but then, ADOPTION. I DON'T KNOW ALY, it was so lame and cliche but so wonderful at the same time. Because it is Bones.
