2. There was a pairs skater named Elena, idremember her last name but her partner was an Anton? A COUPLE OF ROUNDS OF OLYMPICS AGO. She was cool! I LIKED HER FACE.

5. When I was a kid (13ish) I was like, super crazy obsessed with the Yule Ball/specifically the line afterwards that implied Ron had ripped apart his Viktor Krum action figure (I could recite that paragraph from memory). It is not nearly as centrifugal to my enjoyment of of Harry Potter now that I don't have to spend as much as my life ~convincing~ my middle school friends that Ron/Hermione was endgame, but it feels wrong to ignore it.

4. I really love the scene in OotP right after they meet Grawp/Ron's big game, idk, just... the trio relaxing by the lake, Ron being twerpy, and Harry and Hermione breaking stuff to him.

3. The scene where Harry talks to Luna after Sirius dies? Which makes me sound like a crazy Harry/Luna person, which I'm not even, I just found that moment really poignant.

2. Honestly basically the entire last... quarter? of Prisoner of Azkaban, but my faaaaavorite is the stuff in the shrieking shack (DRAMATIC TWISTS AND REVEALS I love that shit idek) and my even more favorite is:

"You know what this means?" Black said abruptly to Harry as they made their slow progress along the tunnel. "Turning Pettigrew in?"

"You're free," said Harry.

"Yes...," said Black. "But I'm also -- I don't know if anyone ever told you -- I'm your godfather."

"Yeah, I knew that," said Harry.

"Well... your parents appointed me your guardian," said Black stiffly. "If anything happened to them..."

Harry waited. Di Black mean what he thought he meant?

"I'll understand, of course, if you want to stay with your aunt and uncle," said Black. "But... well... think about it. Once my name's cleared... if you wanted a... a different home..."

Some sort of explosion took place in the pit of Harry's stomach.

"What -- live with you?" he said, accidentally cracking his head on a bit of rock protruding from the ceiling. "Leave the Dursleys?"

"Of course, I thought you wouldn't want to," said Black quickly. "I understand, I just thought I'd -- "

"Are you insane?" said Harry, his voice easily as croacky as Black's. "Of course I want to leave the Dursleys! Have you got a house? When can I move in?"

Black turned right around to look at him; Snape's head was scraping the ceiling but Black didn't seem to care.

"You want to?" he said. "You mean it?"

"Yeah, I mean it!" said Harry.

Black's gaunt face broke into the first true smile Harry had seen upon it. The difference it made was startling, as though a person ten years younger were shining through the starved mask; for a moment, he was recognizable as the man who had laughed at Harry's parents' wedding.

Once I saw this promo for Voyager (and when I say "once" I literally mean one time, I watched a shitload of Voyager reruns in my youth and this was only used once) that was like "7 reasons 7 young men watch Star Trek: Voyager" and it went 1. I dug up this (http://clairelight.typepad.com/seelight/2009/08/geek-post-why-voyager-rocked.html) a couple of weeks ago and I really love it, it's basically about how even though it's lame Voyager is actually really innovative as a TV show because (among other well-reasoned reasons) not only does it place women in positions of power, it shows strong-willed, interesting men willingly taking a backseat to them both professionally and personally.
4. The use of tropes is gratuitous and also incredible. The episodes that should be the worst (NAZIS IN SPACE) are often their best.
3. I SERIOUSLY FEEL BAD FOR EVERYONE WHO DOESN'T HAVE BLOOD FEVER IN THEIR LIVES, like, seriously. PON FARR: HE HAS TO REJECT HER BECAUSE HE LOVES HER!

They are like, beautiful in all kinds of ways but most specifically I love that they are like these two completely different personalities that work really hard to make things work because they love each other.
