HELLO FRIENDS

Last night [livejournal.com profile] dudski resurrected the top fives meme, and it reminded me that as many times as that has gone around I haven't done it since like, 2007? Maybe 2008? So eons, in internet time. (Which means you can even feel free to default to asking me to the most boring, basic top five questions if necessary!) BUT UM YES: please ask me top five-type questions!!

YES TO ALL OF THESE. I have such a fondness for Lyla and any of the Collette's together, I completely forgot about that episode where Tami makes Lyla and Tyra organise the pep rally together before my rewatch and it was so amazing, I really wanted them to be best friends :( The Tyra college montage might be my favourite? I sent this email to [livejournal.com profile] shimmeryshine a few weeks ago where I said "the entire end of Tyra's storyline in s3 made me so upset, IT IS WRONG TO FEEL SO PROUD OF A TELEVISION CHARACTER'S SUCCESS BUT I CAN'T EVEN HELP IT." I was bawling during that entire scene. I love that it's not just her that they show during it, it's everyone that has impacted on her life in some way.

Also I knew the Mindy/Becky/Billy thing was my favourite thing about season 5 but IT'S EVEN GREATER THAN I REMEMBERED. IT'S PERFECT. There was this one scene where Tim rang from prison and Becky was sitting between them on the couch and it was just the best small moment. But that scene with Becky and Mindy and the other strippers is THE GREATEST. I love Becky :(

Other moments that I love so much: In 4x06 there's that scene with Matt and Julie after the music festival where they both know they're saying goodbye for good but are pretending they're just going to see each other later. IT'S LIKE ... NO OTHER SHOW COULD DO THAT SO SUBTLY. On that note as well, that scene after they have sex for the first time and are in the car together and they just look at each other, and then she goes inside and looks at herself in the mirror oh my god I have goosebumps even thinking about it.

Totally agree with that Tami/Coach one as well, THAT IS THE GREATEST. I also have such a fondness for that scene where he's talking to the guidance counsellor and his wife as two separate people. "Who else can I talk to?" Also Julie and Coach playing ping pong and him giving her fatherly advice, lord I cannot. I can't even think about any of the goodbye scenes but the Smash one is probably my favourite. As well as Jason. BUT I WILL TOTALLY REWATCH WITH YOU ALEX, LIKE, I AM NOT READY TO LET GO YET. But apparently I am terrible at rewatching things, Sam and me had this whole plan to rewatch Castle and it just failed miserably because I am never around at convenient times and I like to vp. LET'S DISCUSS THOUGH OKAY

This is the longest comment ever already but I HAVE A STORY ABOUT S CLUB 7, not that song though but w/e. We had these awesome cds (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/So_Fresh:_The_Hits_of_Spring_2000) in Australia when I was young (THE TRACKLISTING IS SO GLORIOUS) where they released the ~most popular songs~ in four cds a year, I owned all of them for about 3 years. Anyway I used to always play them in the car with whoever I was with, and my grandma developed an s club 7 obsession, it was the greatest. I remember so clearly at my grandfather's birthday one year I was in charge of music and putting S Club Party on for her. She got so excited and started dancing with me. She was about 70 too. She is amazing.

TWO AND ONE, I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING EITHER OF THEM IS IN BUT I TOTALLY AGREE, I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH

OH YEAH THAT EPISODE IS ADORABLE!! But yes oh my god ugh Tyra, just like, the girl she is at the beginning and the girl she is at the end.

OH MY GOD EVERYTHING ABOUT MINDY AND BILLY IN GENERAL IS KIND OF PERFECT?! Like omfg they are legitimately the funniest thing ever in s3 and then they kind of grow up and then they have a baby and a Becky and I just... yeah.

AND OH MY GOD YES ugh that was glorious ;_______;. BOTH OF THOSE THINGS!!!

I love that too. Ugh just Taylor scenes in general, like the one where Julie cries about Matt leaving when she gets back from Austin, and uuuuugh Julie and Coach in the one where Matt's dad dies omg :( BUT LOL WE CAN AT LEAST TRY, although I seriously doubt we'll get through an entire season, let alone five.

L O L we had CDs like that, except they were called ~Now That's What I Call Music~. BUT THAT IS AMAZING THAT SHE LOVED THEM, that's fucking adorable omg.

I HAVEN'T SEEN EMILIA IN ANYTHING EITHER! Saw Captain America though, she was the best part. She was also in um, that miniseries that Gillian Anderson just did?
