K so I was trying to limit this ~very scientific experiment~ on western beauty standards to real life, but there are JUST NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE and all I ended up doing was intriguing myself by the small smattering of results that I do have. And now I want to see patterns, so... idk, you are a largish, easy to access sample, so I choose to exploit you. And admittedly it's a bit of a different pool, you are all ladies (and most but not all of you are straight?) and most of the people reviewed were straight dudes, but. Whatever. Please do this!

There are nine girls in the following video. Each of them has a number on her shirt which you can use as a handy-dandy system to fairly well keep track. Your task is to pick out the one that you find the most objectively attractive.

Omg so okay, I watched that thing more than I care to admit. I ended up having to get a piece of paper and write all the numbers and what they wear in the close-ups and then eliminate them one by one. Which made me feel mean. Lol. In the end I narrowed it down to three or four and had to go with my gut lol. They're all really pretty.

I narrowed it down to 7, 21, and 32 but went with 21 just because I kept coming back to her and how pretty she was. I liked 22 too but the blonde hair was throwing me off. For some reason, I had intense dislike for the other girls with the rope headbands and the visor. I think they looked too ~young~ and I didn't like them trying to look sexy lmao. I spent way too much time thinking about this.

Aw it makes me really happy that 32 was on your list, I WORRY ABOUT HER, I think she is super gorgeous but she gets the worst of the styling here -- I think she looks so pretty in the blue outfit but ridiculous in the close up shots and kind of meh in the pink outfit. And she like, ALWAYS gets the shit end of the styling stick, and is in general the least popular, and... I WORRY ABOUT THESE THINGS, I DON'T KNOW. Also that's an interesting point about them looking too young to look sexy here -- there's a big divide between "cutesy" concepts and "sexy" concepts with them (and I guess kpop in general?) and the general consensus on this song is that they're too old to be this cutesy (they're all about 20/21).

She's totally the best dancer out of all of them, too, AND SHE'S HILARIOUS. But I have an underdog complex, I would be upset if any of the others were the least popular too. SUCKS THAT SOMEONE HAS TO BE.

Yay pretty girls! My second choice was 12, but THANK GOD for your closeups, trying to match the closeups to the distance shots was like a really stressful mental acuity exercise.

Is there any significance to the randomness of their numbers, do you know?

I thought it would be! The numbers were pretty useful in that they were in most of the shots, but I knew the problem would inevitably end up lying in the shots the numbers were not in. And they picked out the numbers themselves, so it's a smattering of lucky numbers and such -- there was an article awhile back on the reasoning behind each number, but I cannot say it stuck with me, except that #0 was actually supposed to be #01, and because of the printing error they called her their black hole.
