LOOK, SOMETIMES YOU JUST GET LOST ON THE INTERNET, okay, and by no volition of your own you find yourself at a-brody.com, and then you realize he is a) strangely still attractive and b) SAD AND ALONE WITHOUT RACHEL, so then you have to go look at the 2003-2005 galleries to make yourself feel better. AND THEN IT'S LIKE, wow, isn't it sad how I still know EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE GALLERIES like the back of my hand (BIG IN '03 = BASICALLY MY FAVORITE SET OF O.C. CAST PHOTOS EVER, mostly for the Rachel/Adam/Samaire series), and then you realize it DOESN'T MATTER.

Well, not kind of, like, totally, irrevocably, caught up in the throes of unrequited Bilson romance. I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT COMES FROM, although they did go to some event together than I can no longer find pictures of (but her dress was white) and... I don't know, maybe it's the way he talks about how Summer went from her teeny role in the pilot to... Summer? I MIGHT BE TOTALLY MAKING IT UP, but she did guest star on Chuck pretty damn quick. But I'm still probably delusional, la la la la.












I KNOW HE LOOKS LIKE A WEIRD MALE MODEL, but I am totally attracted to Chris Carmack. Shut up, tinhooves :(

IN MY HEAD, this was totally absolutely their first date. Kind of. He was too much of a wuss to actually ask her out. He told her it was with friends. "Friends" turned out to be Bret, who had been EXPLICITLY INSTRUCTED to get lost if things were going well. Note how he is wearing his favorite shirt. Oh man, ~nostalgia~. I really love this post. It makes me want to re-watch season one all over again, because that season was magical. I MISS THEM ALL.

I KNOW, MAN. I am constantly tempted to rewatch season one, it was... so silly and hilarious and dramatic and perfect. Absolutely one of the best seasons of TV anywhere, even though it was a primetime teen soap.

Agreed. Even though it was a bit silly and over-the-top at times, it wasn't overwrought to the point of being unwatchable unlike Gossip Girl this past season. I don't know, I just really loved season one to bits and pieces. It was my first TV DVD boxset that I purchased and I could quote that shit almost verbatim. It never gets old.

The thing about the O.C. that put it above Gossip Girl etc was that even when the plots were absurd, the characters always reacted to them like... real people. And the characterization was usually pretty solid. AND IT WAS FUNNY, and... god, I miss it sometimes.

Oh my goodness Alex, I didn't want this post to ever end! When I think about Bilson/Brody (...and McGosling, but I'll save that rant) and how they're doing separately (answer: sad and lonely) I always wonder how any relationship after each other could even compare to THIS. I know, I know, supposedly people move on, but COME ON, BUT HOW HOW HOW COULD THEY POSSIBLY MOVE ON WHEN WE HAVE SUCH ABUNDANT PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE THAT THEY WERE GLEEFUL TOGETHER?!

I KNOW, and the thing is that his sourness rubs off on her? All they ever seem to be doing is walking down streets, occasionally holding hands, and looking grim. In comparison she and Adam were ALWAYS smiling or talking or touching or something beautiful.

And no I'm sorry, I can't think of that one off the top of my head (although there was one from the set from Rachel's camera phone where he's suffused with sun and making a silly face, but it's just his head so I don't think that's what you mean, because there's no way you could tell it was a backlot).

Like, there was this whole to-do because when you think IMAX you think giant screen, right? Well IMAX is licensing out their projectors and moving seats back a few feet and keeping the screen the same size, and is saying that's the 'IMAX experience' and charging extra $ for it. So basically you're paying extra money for a quality projector (which might be worth it - I've never seen a showing so I can't say for sure.)
