I CANNOT TAKE MY FINGER OFF THE SHIFT KEY, RE: BONES. I'M SORRY, I'M TOTALLY COPYING THIS FROM ANOTHER ONE OF MY COMMENTS, BUT: SWEETS COMING INTO BOOTH'S APARTMENT A) FIRST, AND B) WITH ANGELA'S SHOE. AND JUST...EVERYTHING?!?!? THEY SHOULD SOLVE ALL THEIR CASES IN EVENING WEAR.

Okay so I apparently FORGOT THE OFFICE WAS ON TONIGHT. Like, what???? I just forgot. BECAUSE I WAS WATCHING GREY'S ANATOMY. What is wrong with meeeeeee?

WAIT, did you ever watch Quantum Leap. Please say yes!

[identity profile] elapses.livejournal.com 2009-02-06 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
DUDE WAS THAT IN THE FIRST FIVE MINUTES???? Because I missed everything before the theme song and I KIND OF HATE MYSELF (I was sick today and skipped out on school because of it so I'm kind of in that cave/pajama mindset where TIME DOES NOT EXIST) I'd totally be downloading it now so I could see, but I missed the Office/30 Rock toooooo. BLERG. BUT YES, THE EVENING WEAR!!!!!! And like... everything. I was kind of dubious about Gravedigger 2 because, ugh, sequels, but why do I ever doubt Bones? IT ALWAYS COMES OUT ON TOP.

I've only seen a couple of episodes, sry2say. My love for the Bakula is a long and complicated story.

[identity profile] adinfinitum.livejournal.com 2009-02-06 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
Okay wait, does your love for the Bakula have something to do with Star Trek? Because I vaguely remember seeing commercials with him in it or something? IDK, me and my brosef used to be addicted to Quantum Leap. IT WAS SO SO SO GOOD. So good.

I DONT KNOW IF IT WAS IN THE FIRST FIVE MINUTES, MAYBE???? It was definitely early on. I think it had to be after the song though because it was right after the gang found out that Booth was taken.

And I totally agree about sequels. The first gravedigger episode is basically one of my favorite episodes of any show EVER (which says a lot. SERIOUSLY) and it's such a perfect, crystalline 40 minute NUGGET OF GOLD, to think that they were rehashing it made me a bit :/ BUT THEY TOTALLY DELIVERED. And it didn't feel gimmicky (at least it didn't feel that gimmicky) and the Booth storyline was SO UNEXPECTEDLY AWESOME.

Oh no to being sick! Hope you feel better soon, dude!

[identity profile] elapses.livejournal.com 2009-02-06 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
Well... kiiiiind of? His Star Trek character was horrible, though, my sister and I used to call him the cockroach and we didn't even watch most of that particular spinoff. MY LOVE FOR HIM CAME LATER.

UGH, CLEARLY A REWATCH IS IN ORDER.

Before tonight I was afraid it was going to be another Pusher/Kitsunegari-- like, Pusher! It's so good! It stands alone! And Kitsunegari is like... fine, I guess, whatever, but it UNDERMINES the beauty of Pusher and... just... blerg. Anyway I was terrified that this would do the same "wheeeee that episode was so good so CLEARLY WE SHOULD USE IT AGAIN" thing but no, it did really well. And I agree, the Booth storyline was such a lovely little surprise.

Thank you!

[identity profile] adinfinitum.livejournal.com 2009-02-07 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
Ugh, I agree RE: Pusher/Kitsunegari. My distate for the latter is truly profound. Mainly because THERE WAS JUST NO NEED FOR THEM TO DO IT. Like, the show was still in it's prime, it was producing one amazing episode after another, there was just...no need. I mean, technically there was no need for Bones to do it either, but Bones and Bones and I'm totally unsurprised that they chose to dig that up again (no pun intended). But really though, it boggles me how they're able to make this stuff WORK. I'm sure we've had this conversation 2384902 times, BUT ON PAPER THIS SHOW SHOULD BE PURE CRAP. But put it on screen with these actors and suddenly it's ~*~MAGIC*~*. And it's also awesome in the sense that watching it is like watching a kid grow or something-- the writers are clearly getting better and the characters are evolving as the quality is getting better and better and it all just makes for this giant crecendo of AWESOME. AUGH.

[identity profile] elapses.livejournal.com 2009-02-06 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
p.s. it is only for you that I am tearing myself away from my sick day BSG marathon: GOD DAMN IT I WANT TO KNOW WHY SHARON TOOK THE SHIP SO BADLY, why is this show about people who aren't Sharon, Helo, and Lee?

also I don't see you on gchat, how are we talking?

[identity profile] praedial.livejournal.com 2009-02-06 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
I AM ON GCHAT. JFC.

[identity profile] shimmeryshine.livejournal.com 2009-02-06 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
WHAT KIND OF CHUCK PERSON AM I?! I had no idea about any of that. So wrong.

BONES WAS AWESOME! Brennan knocking out the Gravedigger with a giant slam to the head with a briefcase pretttty much made my life. ILU BONES.

[identity profile] elapses.livejournal.com 2009-02-06 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
I DON'T KNOW, clearly we were both left out of some Chuck loop. Which isn't okay, THIS IS THE KIND OF THING I SHOULD KNOW IMMEDIATELY, WORLD >:(

YES! That moment was glorious. It was kind of strange how the Gravedigger just... happened to be someone nearby but I CANNOT EVEN COMPLAIN, it was much too much.

[identity profile] chibirhm.livejournal.com 2009-02-06 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
I WAS SO CONVINCED THAT THIS WAS GOING TO BE THE KISS WHEN HE GOT INTO THE AIRPLANE. SO CONVINCED. THAT WAS MY ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT. AND LO, IT WAS BITTER.

[identity profile] elapses.livejournal.com 2009-02-06 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
DUDE WE ARE GOING TO BE ON THIS MILLIMETERS-AWAY-FROM-ACTUAL-MAKING OUT/INTERCOURSE PRECIPICE FOREVER. Or at least for the rest of he season, which is the same thing :(

[identity profile] chibirhm.livejournal.com 2009-02-06 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
I have to say this did not have the same emotional significance for me as Gravdigger v. 1.0 but that is because THEY DIDN'T USE MARGOT & THE NUCLEAR SO & SO'S IN THE BACKGROUND. FAILURE.

(Oh my god if they HAD I would have been CRYING BUCKETS. OH MY GOD WHY DIDN'T THEY DO THAT FOR EMOTIONAL IMPACT REASONS!??!?!?!)

[identity profile] elapses.livejournal.com 2009-02-06 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
I AGREEEEEEEEEE. Like, I thought it was really good, but Gravedigger the first was just... I DON'T EVEN HAVE WORDS FOR HOW MUCH I LOVE IT. But YES, the lack of Margot was an immense oversight on their part.

[identity profile] the-wanlorn.livejournal.com 2009-02-06 01:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I CAN NOT EVEN GET OVER BONES.
