OH, HELLO JULY! This month is kind of turning out to be an advent calendar of magazine articles and photoshoots and interviews and clips and stills ALL LEADING UP TO THE 25TH JULY, AKA THE DAY WHEN MULDER AND SCULLY ARE BACK IN BLACK.

It's been a long eight months since XF2 became official, and there have been so many doubting Thomas moments -- David-looks-old-and-bloated moments, Gillian-looks-weird-and-bony moments, look-at-their-scary-wrinkles moments -- and I know I have had a vague but constant undertone of worry if they were really still young enough to play the two incredibly good-looking FBI agents they spent so many years portraying.

ALL THAT IS OVER.

ANYWAY, it's not like everyone hasn't had the pleasure of seeing this set of photographs several times over, so this picspam is... mostly for me. So I can come back and look at these pictures again and again and again and again!

(PS. We're getting SKIN. AND GILLIAN IS A GOOD KISSER. And OHMYGOD I LOVE PRESS TOURS.)
(PSS. Please don't, like, make icons out of these pictures I have colored? All of the originals should be in [livejournal.com profile] xfiles! You can use those!)

Lately I'm reaaaaally addicted to friendsfriends. And I kind of started rebooting my LJ. And the weather is really hot. And the new powercord for my laptop still hasn't come in the mail. And I might need to reorganize my tags. AND MY IPOD IS STILL BROKEN! I really like fireworks! Sometimes I feel like my friends go out of their way to ORCHESTRATE DRAMA IN THEIR LIVES. And what exactly do you do when your DVD copy of your FAVORITE MOVIE EVER is tragically missing and has been for months? Buy a new one? I MISS IT.

AND RE: SKIN -- I DON'T EVEN KNOW. My mind STOPS WORKING every time I try and consider the possibility.
UM, PRETTY MUCH. I'm almost certain all of my thoughts about this film are just strings of symbols on the top row of the keyboard.

I also have been trying to figure out who I'm gonna force to go see it with me, but there's a lingering voice in the back of my head that's telling me to see a matinee Friday instead because I'm one of those people who, if it's a movie/show/whatever that I'm DYING TO SEE and am ridiculously obsessive about, I want COMPLETE SILENCE as I'm watching it. And um, my friends aren't exactly the quietest bunch.

SERIOUSLY THOUGH, CAN I JUST SAY THIS:
JULY 18 = THE DARK KNIGHT
JULY 22 = MY BIRTHDAY
JULY 25 = XF2
JULY 26/27 = POTENTIALLY CALIFORNIA
FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST = ENGLAND

THIS SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEST EVER.

I honestly think in order to form a coherent thought re: this film I am going to have to see it at least free times. THE FIRST TIME I WILL BE TOO EXCITED TO TAKE IN ANYTHING and the second I will be too distracted by HOW PRETTY EVERYONE IS.

Anyway: there's no way the midnight showing's going to be properly quiet in any way (I'M REALLY EXCITED at the thought of the ENERGY that'll be present in a theater full of people who care enough to see it at midnight????), but but but! I can't imagine living through that night having not seen it. Is that weird? You could matinee the following day. Or tell your friends that they're not allowed to talk.

CALIFORNIA??? ENGLAND??? MAN, I AM SO JEALOUS OF YOUR SUMMER OF PERFECTION.

AHAHAHA THAT'S SO TRUE. Except switch the pretty distraction with the excitement for me. AESTHETICS GET ME EVERY TIME? It's so hard to be meaningful and substantive when you're as obsessed with the superficial as I am!

And you're so right about that night. Keep in mind I'm saying all this now, when in all likelihood, come then i'll be like SHUT THE FUCK UP, WE'RE ALL GOING NOW!!!

SHOOT, I meant three, not free? Free is not a number? If my brain's already this scrambled, WHAT IS THIS FILM GOING TO DO TO ME?

I'm already mentally planning THE MUSIC I will listen to in the car on the way to see the film. I can't help but wonder how the friends I'm going with will feel about that?
