OH, HELLO JULY! This month is kind of turning out to be an advent calendar of magazine articles and photoshoots and interviews and clips and stills ALL LEADING UP TO THE 25TH JULY, AKA THE DAY WHEN MULDER AND SCULLY ARE BACK IN BLACK.

It's been a long eight months since XF2 became official, and there have been so many doubting Thomas moments -- David-looks-old-and-bloated moments, Gillian-looks-weird-and-bony moments, look-at-their-scary-wrinkles moments -- and I know I have had a vague but constant undertone of worry if they were really still young enough to play the two incredibly good-looking FBI agents they spent so many years portraying.

ALL THAT IS OVER.

ANYWAY, it's not like everyone hasn't had the pleasure of seeing this set of photographs several times over, so this picspam is... mostly for me. So I can come back and look at these pictures again and again and again and again!

Lately I'm reaaaaally addicted to friendsfriends. And I kind of started rebooting my LJ. And the weather is really hot. And the new powercord for my laptop still hasn't come in the mail. And I might need to reorganize my tags. AND MY IPOD IS STILL BROKEN! I really like fireworks! Sometimes I feel like my friends go out of their way to ORCHESTRATE DRAMA IN THEIR LIVES. And what exactly do you do when your DVD copy of your FAVORITE MOVIE EVER is tragically missing and has been for months? Buy a new one? I MISS IT.

YES YES YES-- and the way he slams the drawer after! I think my favorite might have to be the whole opening scene with the both of them at the hospital. Just everything about the way they're interacting with each other-- Mulder's tentativeness and how his feelings are completely tattooed across his face and the way he says "what are we looking at here?" and just ALL OF IT. Even the tiniest little details just make it so painfully perfect.

I KNOW, THATS WHY I NEED ALL Y'ALL'S HELP. And there's no chance in hell I'm gonna put the option of doing multiple, because PICSPAMS ARE SO FUN BUT SO MUCH WORK. I think for my own sanity I'll have to stick with one. Maaaaaybe two, MAX. NO MORE THAN THAT THOUGH.

Oh I love the opening scene! For all the reasons you said, and how he has to pass off his flowers with a joke because he's not entirely comfortable just saying "hey, Scully, I... brought you flowers" and his REFUSAL TO ACCEPT and oh god, WHY IS THIS SHOW SO GOOD?????

PS I FORGOT ALL ABOUT THE END OF MAX, I NEED TO DO THAT TOO!!!! There's no chance in hell this is going up tonight, man. Tomorrow for sure though!

The whole thing is just so unbelievably beautifully tragic?????? WHAT A WAY TO REALIZE SOMEONE IS THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE.

PSH, dude the beginning of Tempus Fugit was literally the first thing i did because there are few things in the whole run of the show that make me as ridiculously giddy and silly and HAPPY as that moment (seriously up there with the end of Unnatural for me). EVEN THE WAY MULDER SITS AT THE TABLE IS JUST FJDKLSFJKDLS. Everything everything!

Oh and I've completely given up on trying to finish the re-watch before the film. I actually don't want it to end! Even if it takes me ages to finish it, I'm totally cool with that, seeing that once i'm done, I'm done? (Although I wouldn't underestimate my ability to go through it again. Not so soon, of course, but like, it's not out of the realm of possibility. I'M NUTS.)
