YOU GUYS, who remembers the Bartowski family backstory properly? Mom left too, right??? BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT? WE MIGHT BE HEADED TOWARDS SPYFAM 2.

ALSO, what is with this show lately?? It's like we were cruising along in with a normal ratio of mytharcs to monster of the weeks (XF terminology is built into my brain) and then all the sudden it's ALL MYTHARC ALL THE TIME. AND IT'S AWESOME. However it is also really weird? TV is supposed to stick to it's norm because that makes TV people more money! There is never this much game changing all in a row! Especially from shows that are even sillier than they are serious! BUT I AM SO NOT COMPLAINING, how do I even explain how delightful this change is? IT'S LIKE:

Uh, yeah, so, you guys? I AM ON THE VERGE OF AN ALL OUT LOVE AFFAIR WITH THIS SHOW. It's really weird because Chuck, for me, has always been on a Bones level where it's lovely and I love it but I do not feel any kind of passion for it. You know? An awesome and extremely enjoyable part of my week, but getting behind is never a big deal I would never, like, need fic. Maybe until now. WE'LL SEE. I'm teetering on the precipice of something, is what I'm saying.

2. dudski on HOW TO CUT YOUR SPOILERS
You guys, I know you think you understand and you do not read to read this, but you DO. Everyone does! Even if it is just to refresh your already well-tuned sense of what is right and wrong (on the internet). Mostly I need you to read this because it seems like the universe has forgotten that reactions can be EVERY BIT AS SPOILERY AS EXPLICIT SPOILERS. You might as well just cut your "D:"s and "omg that was amazing"s. IT WILL NOT HURT THAT MUCH, I PROMISE. (I am not allcapsing at anyone in particular, I swear, ALTHOUGH YOU GUYS KNOW HOW I READ FRIENDSFRIENDS WHEN I'M BORED??? Your friends suck at spoiler cutting. Sad but true. You should make them read this.)

AHAHAHAHAHA that graph is spectacular, Alex! I have a feeling that blue line will be staying in that upward curve for the remainder of the season. Just...the way things are going and the direction the plot seems to be going in. They have set everything up for a potentially AWESOME finish and an even better season three (I AM GOING TO GET THIS SHOW RENEWED BY SHEER WILLPOWER. I KNOW I CAN DO IT.)

Seriously though, Chuck is my #1 show right now. It's the only one that makes me happy every week. Mostly everything else I watch has been super frustrating lately, but not Chuck. It's fun and smart and basically everything I could ever want in a television show. My investment level is through the roof (seriously, you should see me whenever Chuck and Sarah are on screen together--I lean closer to the television and make myself stop breathing so I don't miss a thing. aka I AM INSANE)

This was me right before the episode where they played Skinny Love (ep 3 I believe). After that I was so far gone. That scene did me in. If I had any doubts about the show they were gone after that moment. BTW IT IS AWESOME THAT BON IVER IS ON YOUR GRAPH. I was so excited when I heard Blood Bank in last week's episode (...or was it the ep before that?). ANYWAY. Yeah, A+ music on this show.

Um, okay, I'm going to shut up now. I should have just said I LOVE CHUCK A LOT because that would have covered it with three less paragraphs.

OKAY THE VERY IDEA THAT IT MIGHT GET CANCELLED??? KILLS ME. I might even be heartbroken enough not to watch anything else on NBC out of pure spite. (in which case, GOODBYE, COMEDY THURSDAY, I'LL MISS YOU LOTS! But FNL doesn't count because it's also on the Dish network.)

BUT GOD, seriously, even if I haven't ever hit that point of fannish intensity with Chuck, it never ever disappoints. I think the 3D episode was the series low, and it wasn't even that terrible (it just wasn't Chuck, it was some gross, uncomfortable, NBC-approved, superbowl-viewer-friendly version of it). I feel like even the ideas that I wouldn't think I'd like in theory (i.e. Orion!Dad) are always executed perfectly. If there were no Buy Morons, this show would be practically perfect in every way.

I know everyone and their mom has said this, but I'm loving the way they're setting up Bon Iver to be the go-to Chuck/Sarah sound. And yeah that was last week. Godddddddd that felt longer!

I am so with you on Chuck. I've always loved this show since the pilot leaked two summers ago, but my love for it has reached all-time highs. I have latched onto this show hard within the past couple of weeks. It's like, since Pushing Daisies was canceled, Chuck has totally become my happy!show. It leaves me with such glee every Monday night. But tonight just fully cemented just why exactly I love this show. There was tons of EPIC MYTHARC and it was awesome. The mytharc-heavy episodes have always been some of my favorite episodes and this one didn't disappoint. Although, I called Papa Bartowski being Orion awhile ago. DO NOT CARE, BECAUSE THE REVEAL WAS A+.

Also, that graph is so wonderfully spot-on.

The thing with Papa-Bartowski-as-Orion is that it's so... obvious, in terms of storytelling choices, that you'd think it'd be lame, but it worked! Because Chuck has some kind of magical touch with the execution, I guess? I don't know how even the lame-on-paper and/or predictable plot twists come out right EVERY SINGLE TIME.

But yeah, it's so funny-- I've always loved Chuck but it's always been something I'd fall a couple weeks behind on because it never quite made it to the top of my list. But suddenly it's lighting up my week!

If you ever feel the need for Chuck/Sarah fic, I have a loaded Delicious account! Well, there isn't much decent Chuck fic even in existence, but I do what I can to round up the stuff that at least has correct grammar and whatnot.

Haha, your graph made me laugh. I do agree, though. S1 of Chuck was good and all, but this season has just been consistently great. Honestly, it's one of my favorite shows on TV right now. I look forward to it every single week. I'm glad you're a fan too! Heather's picspam was a great collection of the best moments so far. :)

I think it might actually be my favorite! Except, like, 30 Rock. Maybe. I don't know. 30 Rock hasn't been quite as hysterical this season. But seriously, I'm consistently surprised at how many DON'T watch it.

I think this season of 30 Rock started out very funny, but has gotten less so over the course of the year, unfortunately. I still love it, though. Jenna's my favorite. :)

Bakula was kinda weirding me out the first half of the ep with his old man..ness, but I love that it was all part of his CRAZY act. This show has totally won my heart over as it has yours. I really, REALLY hope it doesn't get cancelled :(

You never watched Alias, did you? BECAUSE THEY DID SOMETHING SEMI-SIMILAR. Sydney's a superspy and in the pilot she finds out her estranged dad is also a superspy, and then a little while later she accuses her dad of being a KGB double-agent ~back in the day~ and it turns out her dead mom Laura Bristow is actually Irina Derevko, RUSSIAN superspy. YAY SPYFAMILIES.
