It goes without saying that I'll upload individual files if you want them, but I think it also goes without saying that I'm too lazy to do them separately without prompting.

This Christmas mix was sort of more unusually one-note for me (usually there is a lot more pop and a lot more Frank Sinatra), so I also uploaded what my sister and I have declared to be the most delightful Christmas songs there are:

S Club 7 - Perfect Christmas
Jimmy Eat World - Last Christmas (actually Hannah hates this and all versions of this song, BUT WHATEVER, SIS, I'M SORRY YOU HATE FUN)
Ron Sexsmith - Maybe This Christmas
Guster - Donde Esta Santa Claus?
Frank Sinatra - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas (actually for yeaaaaaaaaaars I was NOT OKAY with anything but the Judy Garland version of this song, but I have relaxed in my old age. And Frank Sinatra! I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM.)
XTC - Thanks For Christmas (If you, like me, are one of those weirdos who just happens to be really really really fond of the holiday season, THIS IS YOUR SONG.)

AND OF COURSE, the Trey Songz and Flo Rida version of Jingle Bells from the Gap commercials that I love so much.

I HAVE BUT ONE REQUEST: if any West Wing fan happens to have "Simply Having A Wonderful Christmastime" by Martin Sheen, Stockard Channing, and John Spencer, I MISS IT DESPERATELY :(

Oh, and happy not-quite-belated Thanksgiving, Americans! I hope you have suitably napped off your food! Did you know there's a substance in turkey that makes you sleepy? You probably did. I didn't until this year.

I LOVE JIMMY EAT WORLD'S "LAST CHRISTMAS." It is one of the few poppy Christmas songs I like.

I DO TOO (obviously)! I really really love it when bands decide to cover Christmas songs and they pick the exact right song for their sound. Most people miss completely and try to cover a classic in a ~updated~ way and it just ends up GROSS. There should be rules to prevent that kind of mishap.

OH I'M GLAD YOU HAVEN'T HEARD THEM!! and yes, THE WAY THEY DID DONDE ESTA SANTA CLAUS. I'm weirdly obsessed with the Christmas songs bands I like choose to cover-- because sometimes they pick a song that is so RIGHT for them and their sound (like when Spice Girls did "Christmas Wrapping" and the Format's choice of "Holly Jolly Christmas"), and sometimes they try to pick a song that's out of the obvious proverbial box (eeeeeveryone does "Sleigh Ride", "Winter Wonderland" and "Santa Baby") AND GUSTER DID BOTH???? And it was amazing? I can't listen to that song without smiling.
