i talk about television a lot!

On October 10th (ha. ha. haaaaa, I totally actually looked up the exact date) I agreed to watch Bones for veils. But on October 10 there was still television! Like, lots of it, as opposed to this minefield where we have a little bit more Friday Night Lights and a little bit more Chuck. And now there is not! So.


For a long long long time I was caught up in not shipping Booth/Brennan. I meaaaaan, they were kind of enjoyable to have on screen together, especially in a dialogue sense (dialogue/chemistry/Alexandra = OT3!), but they didn't have that something for me! Especially halfway through season one, when they were so intentionally throwing the UST in our faces! I hate that! But: a) I really liked the scene in 1x21 where he told her all the war things he hadn't told anyone else! b) and then in the next one I kind of enjoyed that he kept coming over with Chinese food in the middle of the night. Also that he figured out what was wrong with her before even Angela. OHMYGOD, why are they pushing all my buttons? c) she psychoanalyzes him despite the fact that she hates psychology? HA, what is that! d) they are smiley with each other! e) they are, you know, attractive! And I am historically shallow. Fuck.

I can't overanalyze them, I can't imagine them together at all, yet alone envision the paralyzing details that kind of engulf me when I really really love two people together (I am a nerd!) but. They are kind of lovely. There, I said it.

Also: David Boreanaz (besides having a last name that is incredibly easy to misspell!) makes really really adorable faces. And I can't decide who my favorite is! I am fond of all of the squints. They are weirdly adorable. And Hodgins is my favorite! He is so... annoying. It is wonderful.

Things that still kind of annoy me: the theme song, that one episode where Booth joins an FBI raid to save Brennan from Adam Baldwin while he is LITERALLY HAVING TROUBLE STANDING UP (stupid and dangerous), how easy it is to predict things, Angela's magic holographic computer (although I should be used to magic computers halfway through rewatching the first season of the X-Files for eyeinfbi, HA), Hodgins/Angela (it's so FORMULATED. you can see the writers being like "okay guys! let's hook them up! fun times!" BUT NO.)!

But whatever. I am having fun.

HAHAHA. I hate that! It's so cheesy and bad. Every time it shows up I sort of turn my head because that thing just embarrasses me. Awful.

Oh, good, I'm glad I'm not the only one who is kind of bored by Hodgins/Angela. Yeah, they can be cute, but it's a forensics lab, not a dating service.

I'm glad you're enjoying the show. It's no great art, but it's a lot of fun.

They are kind of... eh. Their first few romantic overtone scenes actually kind of made me cringe, but lately they have been... okay. But it's so... I don't know!

LOL, OH, Booth/Brennan. They just sucked me in. They can't help being adorable, and the banter is so lovely (especially car!banter, omg!), and there really is chemistry. I pretty much got trapped.

My David love crept up on me, too. But he is so cute. AND HOGDINS. IS MY LOVE. I would marry him in a heartbeat.

OMFG. THAT'S who Adam Baldwin was??! SDLFKSJLJ I KNOW EXACTLY WHO YOU MEAN, and I had NO idea at the time. sldkfjslfkjdsl. I have to rewatch that at some point.

Aaaand finally, I have to say that I love Angela and Hodgins, a lot. By the time season two was over, I was much less flaily over them and I thought it was all too quick, but the first half of season two, with all their little moments and bits of intensity? That's what had me watching for a while. I LIVED for them, for maybe three really intense months.

TRAPPED. TRAPPED is exactly how I feel. I really didn't want to like them, but... it's hard to help. The whole thing just sort of creeps up on you.

THAT IS WHO HE WAS!! It's funny how many shows he really is in? Have you been watching Chuck? His character gives me great glee. And when I first started watching Firefly it took my forevvvvvver to stop calling him Knowle Roher. I guess it's only natural he would pop into Bones as well.

They got a little cuter. I almost enjoyed them in 2x09, but... I don't know. I am still not totally fond. Oh well!

I REALLY REALLY DISLIKE ANGELA/HODGINS. there was this one scene in a season three episode where i liked them because the shot they were in together was pretty and i made an icon from it? but that is seriously it. the whole relationship makes me really kind of annoyed. lol bitter about angela/zack!

one day soon i will seriously make a giant office post. i want pretty pictures and maybe some flailing. i don't actually know if my flist even realizes i watch it? i forget if i told them.

you have actually watched a crazy amount since i last talked to you about it! 2x04 really creeped me out :( howard epps is crazysauce.

YOU SHOULDDDDDDD. It's funny how we are totally aware of our fandom trading pack but the rest of the world is... not. You have been using Office icons, though. They might have gleaned something from that.

:D you should know by now of my wacky unconventional shipping! i used to love angela/zack because of how...idk, it always seemed like he wanted to learn things from her and i probably imagined a lot of it, but! they would have been cute.

i have already started planning it in my head :D:

\o/!!! i find 2x05 and 2x06 kind of boring :( BUT THEN I LOVE THEM ALL UNTIL 2X11. WHICH DAVID DUCHOVNY DIRECTS. they are a+++ until then and then i get...sad and bitter :( my life: so hard. I WISH I COULD STFU.

I'm up through 2x09. Which was really lovely! I reaaaaaally want to see David's episode, ACTUALLY, but. Vivian's going to call me at some point to get ready to go out tonight and it doesn't feel like the right time. So I am really actually working on that X-Files fic. I'm not even just pretending to! It's kind of incredible.

2x09 really is lovely. and i find 2x08 really fun! AND IT'S SUPER PRETTY. i...really love undercover episodes. BUT IL DAVID'S EPISODE THE MOST OUT OF BASICALLY ALL OF THEM.

lololol. it is pretty incredible! and fantastic. i am sick of fic that is lame. I SHOULD PROBABLY FINISH THE YOU'RE FLIRTY TODAY ONE BEFORE YOU KILL ME. but i really want to make that post about the office now.

I liked... the undercover part of 2x08 because I'm totally into undercover things tooooo, but. The case was really lame. I don't care about undercover boxing rings at all ever :(

THE FIC ACTUALLY HAS PURPOSE NOW TOO. Be proud of me! But also work on that Office post, because I will be a little sad if I have to go with Vivian before it gets poasted :(
