I keep meaning to say! I have kind of sort of been doing a music blog for the last couple of weeks! It was one of those weird things where I wanted to have it separate from my internet ~identity~ for awhile, I don't know, I've only mentioned it to two people. Plus I have always sort of kind of felt weird talking about music on lj more than a little bit, it's like there's a very specific subsection of people who also care but... it is not everyone. It is basically just a lot of rambling about songs I like, but if a lot of words about (mostly) indie pop (but also some pop pop and who knows what else) sounds like your thing, it's here.

ANYWAY MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY, after the Good Wife finale aired thecolorbetween asked for a repeat of this red paint picspam.

This picspam took FOREVER because I would just get stuck on the tequila scene because I love like EVERY POSSIBLE CAP YOU COULD MAKE OF IT, they're all slightly, subtly different in the best way. MANAGED TO GET OVER IT EVENTUALLY, OBVIOUSLY


In middle school I imprinted on this moderately shitty (but also SO GREAT) fantasy trilogy (except not really because ten years later AND THE FINAL BOOK STILL DOES NOT EXIST) by Melanie Rawn called the Ruins of Ambrai but there is this line in it I love that I think about all the time, which was about how good sex with someone you love involves laughter. They're not quite to that part yet but that is what this cap reminds me of, both of their faces: they're both embarrassed giggly, but in a good way.


(Was going to scrawl "YOU ARE MY BOY", or possibly "BAD BOY" on the left cap, but then decided I was too in love with everything about it to deface it)

I've actually been wanting to do that for a while, but I've always felt so pressured to sound ~eloquent and intelligent~ with the technical aspects of music which I have nooo idea to even begin with. Lol I wanted to make some indignant comment about how you keep popping up on different places on the internet and not telling your flist and that you should stop but really, don't stop. I love the blog so much!!!!!!!! I have already heard so much stuff that I absolutely adore, or am just nodding along with your comments in agreement (OVEIDO!!!!! You were right and I was wrong, it is the best Blind Pilot song and I really do think it is one of my fave songs ever). Also I was actually going to email you the other day and be like LISTEN TO KIMBRA SHE IS SO YOUR THING but of course you have already discovered her. She did a duet with Gotye! I don't know if you've heard it but it is my favourite thing!



I love how you think it's just a song about some dude's broken heart and then she chimes in with this whole other perspective about the relationship. Also their voices and their faces are quite excellent. Is it weird to say two singers have chemistry in a music video? Because I think they have chemistry. Also the way she moves over to him during "I don't wanna live that way" blahhhhhhh it is so perfect. I just love this video.
