Yeah, I totally agree. One of my older sisters was big on 30s and 40s cinema when I was younger, so it'll always hold a special place in my heart. I think my faaavorite movie from that era has to be The Philadelphia Story. UGH ITS JUST SO SO GOOD. But yeah, it's pretty hard for me to dislike any thing from the 30s-50s.
But it's so hard to pick with them! Because so much of the time they're just being normal wordy bantery them and then a split second later Scully will lean in a little and Mulder will lean in FAR TOO MUCH and then they're having some kind of sexual blinking contest and you're left wondering WHAT JUST HAPPENED??? It's so RANDOM. And frequent! This is so so great. AND TRUE! And I love your mini list of moments-- this show never ceases to amaze me with how awesome it was.
HAAAH, I so had SV blinders on like crazy back in the day. And I remember seeing/hearing Jack/Irina folks getting so into them and thinking, "UM...do you not see Syd and Vaughn?!" Good times.
