Heh, my first exposure to musicals was probably... a combination of Mary Poppins and then animated Disney films. I love both of those, but aside from that... heh, not so much, no.

It's totally okay, re: Vancouver! I'm sorry to hear that your Dad's being a pain about it, though. I hope you'll be okay with lodgings, though!
