Being Jewish, I'm named after a dead relative (not exactly, but close enough.) My grandma's name started with R and so does mine. There was another thing we did because she had two names, so my middle name is also tied to that (and in point of fact, my first name does that but in one world.)

I'd probably do the same for my kids, when I have them, so it depends on who in my family has passed on by the time I'm having kids.
