aaaaall the way

DANCE BREAK:

By my own rules I am not supposed to be Christmas-y until the day after Thanksgiving, BUT THEN GAP OUTDID THEMSELVES WITH THEIR 2008 ADS AND I HAD TO. HAD TO. (ALTHOUGH, okay, I'm also feeling oddly chatty and just felt like posting? HI!!) It is so many things I love about the holiday season: cute sweaters, dorky dancing, sooooongs, and glee. Also if you, like me, listened to this and thought "WHY DO I NOT HAVE AN AWESOME HIP HOPPY VERSION OF JINGLE BELLS ANYWHERE IN MY ITUNES???" there is a just plain Trey & Flo version, AND I WILL FIGURE OUT HOW TO RIP IT, SOMEHOW.

Tomorrow I am going to buy myself candles. Lots and lots of delicious smelling candles. Also sheet music. Except knowing my penchant for procrastination, I will still be saying this a week from now :(

P.S. FUN UNRELATED FACT: The Christmas classic "Baby, It's Cold Outside" originates from a crappy Esther Williams swimming movie from the 50s (I think it was the 50s?) that has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HOLIDAYS AT ALL.

IT IS!!! I don't suppose you liked Dream too? APPARENTLY WE HAVE ABSURDLY COMPATIBLE TASTE IN POP MUSIC.

I only remember one Dream song, whichever one was their most popular. "He Loves U Not," that was it! (Fact: I had to check on Wikipedia.) The coordinated pink outfits! Aaaaah. Did you hear that three of the members are now in their own group (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Phoenix#New_Group)? Without a doubt, I was most "obsessive" with O-Town. 98% of it was because my best friend was OBSESSED, but then, of my own accord, I, too, became really obsessed. You can see my head on one of their concert CDs. I went to TRL for them. Wow. I never realized what "Liquid Dreams" really meant until, like, three years ago (and, to be honest, I'm grateful for that).

I didn't know they'd formed a new group! I was going to "psh" disinterestedly because at some point they made a second album and it was TERRIBLE, sexed up pop music that pretty much lacked any melody at all, but apparently the ~new group~ is all the girls I liked and NO HOLLY (I swear to god, part of the reason I listened to groups more than singers back then is because I enjoyed watching the same three music videos over and over again and deciding which ones I "liked" and which ones I thought were lame). HMMMM. HMM.

I loved O-Town too! I was too defiant to like *NSync or Backstreet Boys with the same fervor as everyone else, so I picked up O-Town and 98 Degrees instead.

I KEEP FORGETTING: here's Janelle Monae (http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=20020beef39f3c5fc74064dd4c81b78a3858770053f42b8a)!

I was never into them enough to remember their names. I think someone posted a song of Lady Phoenix on [livejournal.com profile] ohnotheydidnt a couple months ago, and it wasn't too bad. They have good voices, it just wasn't really my style. Hahahaha at you and music videos. I love it.

I was never really into 98 Degrees, but one time during the Thanksgiving Day Parade, one of them waved to me (I think it was Drew?) or looked right at me (mind you, I was in a building, so they probably weren't even looking at me), and I was like, *~*"Oh my god, I looooove him, I want to date him, he is perfect, he likes me, he waved at me, he knows who I am!!"*~* Yep.

Thank you, again! :-)

Wow, I just looked Lady Phoenix up on youtube, and there isn't much but ICK, EMBARRASSMENT SQUICK. The 12-year-old inside me is sad :(

Haaaaaahaha that is the ultimate boy band story. I WOULD'VE DIED.

No problem!
