i don't think i've ever had a sunday show?
LET ME TELL YOU THE BEST THING ABOUT CHARLIE'S ANGELS: Jack Bristow!! Like for real guys, casting Victor Garber in this role explains everything anyone has ever wondered about the entire Charlie's Angels franchise and this mysterious Charlie dude. Like, of fucking course Jack Bristow has a secret team of three rotating girls to handle his dirty work when it needs to be done by non-government operatives. OF. COURSE!!!!!
But it probably says a lot that the best thing about the entire pilot by far was a product of my imagination and a casting director. "I didn't know my heart could hurt this much!" Ay curumba. (But will I keep downloading it so I can prolong my hilarious Jack Bristow fantasy? PROBABLY FOR ANOTHER COUPLE OF WEEKS.)
BUT APPARENTLY CHARLIE'S ANGELS WAS MOSTLY BAD so as to balance out how great Pan Am was/is going to be, because um. It is going to be great! At least I think it is: it was one of those pilots that was focused enough on backstory that it's a bit hard to divine how the show will work formatting-wise once the stories actually.......... take off (it is a night for bad puns, go with it). But the pilot made me really want to see where everyone is going, and honestly in this age of hulu and dvr and downloads, let's be real guys: sometimes it's hard to find a (non-comedy) where you aren't occasionally tempted to just fastforward to the good stuff. But I think it will all be good stuff, because we are buckling our seatbelts for (seriously somebody stop me I need to go to bed) a simultaneous SPY THRILLER and ROMANCE and FAMILY DRAMA with really delightful music!!!
I want to be like "I LOVE THE SISTERS BEST!!" but it seems unfair to pronoucne that because I also don't know yet! I could love anyone best!! Everyone seems great!
I'm also inexplicably fond of Michael Mosley's character but I also mentally nicknamed him 60s Tom Paris so... I guess that's explicably fond.
I've watched a medium-sized smattering of other pilots this week but all I really feel the need to say about them is that FREE AGENTS!!! WAS UNEXPECTEDLY DELIGHTFUL. (Well, kind of expectedly because a couple of you mentioned it, but still! Was not expecting to get that engrossed in the-show-that-came-after Up All Night.)
Anyway do you know how sometimes you come up with a GODAWFUL but WONDERFUL pun on a whim and it's like, too bad to use but now you just can't leave it out? Because the Good Wife stuff I want to talk about is like, mostly not at all Will-related, but.
Okay HOPEFULLY everyone was already aware of Alan Cumming's livetweeting because if not you have missed everything! But can I just say, god I love actors sometimes. They just have this perennial fixation on sex that surpasses even the fangirls sometimes (mostly because generally actors have this way of hilariously zoning in on the sex rather than the romance). Idk idk, considering how excruciating it is to suffer through will-they-won't-theys once a WEEK, it must be that much worse to have to think about it every day at work. Especially since half the time you reach a certain point and no one is getting any at all!!!
ANYWAY SPEAKING OF GETTING SOME, as
veils said of that scene (that scene) "HOLY FUCKING SEX SCENE BATMAN, i'm all awkwardly flustered". Ack I agree but I also think that was the power of it. Um, wow. Love that they inaugurated their move to 9pm with that. They're all, nothing is changing, friends! We may, in fact, be getting saucier.
I don't want more of this blonde investigator chick, it just feels like having two Kalindas. Only one of them is a TERRIBLE SHADOW of everything that real Kalinda is.
I suppose I ultimately don't have much to express except HAPPINESS that it is Good Wife season again, and also:

In conclusion a local channel has chosen to start their new 30 Rock rerun series BASICALLY EXACTLY WHERE I LEFT OFF and it is kind of the most amazing! God I am so into my television lately, it's RIDIC. Sometimes you are just in the mood? It's so nice though: last year I was in the opposite of this place for whatever reason and this just feels... nice and normal again.
