It's also like, the age gap is kind of awkward? So like that ON TOP of the fact that they're going on about how he's practically part of the family... I just, ew. There was a section of the fic I was reading about how they had gotten together when James was 17 and it just like, brought the squick factor to entirely new levels. In the fic Harry was kind of like "I guess I can deal, I mean I did grow up with the Weasleys and ended up marrying Ginny..." but. NOT THE SAME AT ALL.
Kind of enjoyed gay James though! But I could still go either way on him, idk. IN MY HEAD, he is bffs with Fred's daughter Roxanne and maybe one or two other Gryffindors, and in the grand tradition of their forefathers, do enjoy pranks, although it is not their life. Albus and Rose think they are the biggest brats. In a fond kind of way. Sort of.
Yeah I'm not like... into them, exactly? I mean we all have relationships when we're 17/18 and hardly any of them last. It just irritates me that people try to dismiss it completely, because like... there's hardly any canon on these characters, IS IT THAT HARD TO FOLLOW WHAT IS THERE.
