THERE ARE SO MANY SHOWS THAT ARE BASED AROUND MALE/FEMALE LEADS WITH SEXUAL TENSION BASED ON CLASHING VIEWS/PERSONALITIES. Ugh, not all couples have to be argue-y (although that can be delightful!), and THAT IS KIND OF OLD MEME BY NOW, why are so many shows based around a male/female leading duo who have sexy arguments and secretly want to do each other omg. AND LOL LET'S NOT PRETEND THAT'S THE ONLY REASON WE'RE TOO LAZY FOR TV, but it is a contributing factor. I WOULD BE SO MUCH MORE INTERESTED IN FRINGE IF THEY DIDN'T PUSH PETER/OLIVIA SO GODDAMN HARD, like, it's not ever a must-watch priority #1 show for me but I just got so irritated by that aspect because they were 100% brother/sister vibes for me (not saying they have to necessarily stay that way, I'd be okay with them developing into something more as long as it was slow) but the show keeps like, pushing the UST thing really awkwardly far and I just. Ugh.
